Mike Van Winkle

Mike Van Winkle was formerly a vice-president with the Sam Adams Alliance. Prior to that, Van Winkle was a policy analyst for the Illinois Policy Institute and then a media and legislation specialist with the Heartland Institute. He has written regularly on politics and public affairs and has been published in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, American Spectator Online, and TCSDaily. He describes himself as "an unabashed libertarian".
Mike has an M.A. in social sciences from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois-Chicago, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2002. He is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
