Welcome to JUDGEPEDIA
The site that aims to bring sunshine to court rulings & the judges who make them...

Judgepedia is an online encyclopedia that strives to be a consummate source for authoritative articles, open and respectful discourse, and reputable research for all things judicial. Because Judgepedia works like any other Wiki, we encourage the contribution and discussion of anyone who wishes to speak honestly about the role of the judiciary in America. Your support and collaboration are enthusiastically encouraged.

Check out our 2008 State Supreme Court Elections page, currently under construction, for information and updates on this year's many judicial elections, retentions, and appointments.

Getting Started...

How Can I Contribute?

We suggest checking out our Getting Started page for helpful hints and suggestions. Once you feel comfortable using this site as a research tool, we welcome you to create a login and password; this will identify you as a Judgepedia contributor, and facilitate communication within our community at-large.

Have something to say about a judge, a judicial decision, or a particular court? Use Judgepedia's "Discussion" tab, located on the top of each article, to voice your opinion.

Note: Because Judgepedia is currently running in Beta form, many articles are merely stubs, and therefore require more attention than some of our developed, unique articles. Improving upon stub articles is another great way to ease into Wiki-writing.

Recommendations

Blawg

We recommend inspecting some of the thousands of law blogs (a.k.a. "blawgs") on the internet. Blawgs are an excellent outlet for lawyers, academics, and the judicially curious to report on the latest litigation, controversies, and legal trends on a state-by-state and country wide basis. The Justia Blawg Directory and Blawg's Legal Blogs Directory are great places to start. Feel free to add your own recommendations, too! For a more comprehensive list, check out this.
